Between them, committee members care for twelve dogs, eleven cats, four hens, innumerable garden birds and several have additional animal responsibilities, such as being chairman of trustees for a donkey sanctuary, cat fosterer for the RSPCA, and volunteering almost full time in a wildlife hospital. It is also noteworthy how many of them spend great amounts of time, energy and, in all cases, money, on charities and causes devoted to relieving human suffering. Who says it is all one or the other, humans or animals…?
